Delivery Policy

Delivery Terms:

  1. Shipping methods and estimated delivery times

1.1. Our shipping is via Fedex once the product/s is in from our supplier.

1.2. Typical products delivery times are 5-7 days.

1.3. Products made to order including handmade, fingerprint, gold and white gold items delivery items are 4-6 weeks.

1.4. Items out of stock, notification of timeframe will be given should a product be out of stock following an order.

  1. Shipping costs and any free shipping thresholds

2.1. £10 delivery up to £70.00.

2.2. Free UK delivery over £70.00.

  1. Geographical limitations (if any)

3.1. Mainland UK delivery only.

3.2. Worldwide delivery is possible, please contact shop@fordmears.uk for a quote.

  1. Handling of fragile items

4.1. Packaging: All items are carefully packaged using protective materials to ensure safe transit.

4.2. Special handling: Fragile items are marked as such and require special handling during shipping.

4.3. Carrier instructions: We instruct carriers to handle packages marked ‘Fragile’ with extra care.

4.4. Customer advisory: While in transit, please handle your package with care and inspect it upon receipt.

4.5. Damage disclaimer: Despite our best efforts, we cannot guarantee against damage during transit.

4.6. Inspection request: We recommend inspecting your item immediately upon delivery and before signing for receipt.

4.7. Damage reporting: Any damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery for our returns policy.

4.8. Photographic evidence: In case of damage, please take clear photos before contacting our customer service.

 

Collection Terms:

  1. Available collection locations and hours

1.1. A collection time will need to be arranged with the office you have selected.

1.2. Our opening hours for collections are 09.00 – 16.00

  2. Time limit for picking up orders

3.1. Please collect with in 5 working days

 

Returns Policy:

  1. Eligibility:

1.1. Unused, unopened items in original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery.

1.2. Personalized or custom-made items are non-returnable unless defective.

  1. Condition:

2.1. Items must be in new, resalable condition.

2.2. Jewellery must be unworn and free from scratches or damage.

2.3. Urns must be empty and unaltered.

  1. Process:

3.2. Securely package the item to prevent damage during return shipping.

4.1. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective.

4.2. We recommend using a tracked shipping method.

  1. Refunds:

5.1. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days of receiving the return.

5.2. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item was defective.

  1. Exchanges:

6.1. Exchanges are offered for items of equal or lesser value.

6.2. If exchanging for a higher-priced item, you’ll be charged the difference.

  1. Damaged or Defective Items:

7.1. Report any damages or defects within 24 hours of delivery.

7.2. Provide clear photos of the damage for our quality control team.

7.3. Replacement or full refund will be provided for confirmed defective items.

  1. Exceptions:

8.1. Clearance items are final sale unless defective.

8.2. Personalised items ie fingerprints are non-refundable, unless defective.

  1. Gift Returns:

9.1. Gift recipients may return items for store credit or exchange only.
